News on Whitehill & Bordon Low Car Design

A lot of a work has been undertaken by planning officers since the Council held its online consultation on Low Car Designs in Whitehill & Bordon in the summer of 2022. Time has been spent understanding the key trends in the consultation responses, as well as drawing out potential implications for residential parking in new development, and what further steps may be needed.

This work has led to a Report of Consultation, published today, which details all aspects of the consultation from how it was undertaken, the questions asked, detailed summaries of responses received and ultimately what could change or what would be required, to support a transition to lower car lifestyles. The Report forms part of the emerging Local Plan evidence base that will be used to draft appropriate policies and proposals for the draft Local Plan.

The Council will continue to work with partners, including Hampshire County Council, on future transport and land use policies.
